Drooling Minecraft Village 3D Print

This is simply amazing. YouTube’s member ‘bogenfreund0’ has uploaded a video of a 3D print from a Minecraft Village. This 3D model of minecraft-village was exported directly out of the game world using a modified command, colored using CAD software, and printed on a Zprinter 650. Modder introduces Global Illumination in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Modder ‘ketxxx’ is developing a promising mod for GSC GameWorld’s STALKER called, STALKER Twilight K.E.T 2.Zero. The envisionment of TK is to bring you what was promised by GSC for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, instead of what was offered. ketxxx has been experimenting with Global Illumination and has released a new footage to show off his work. New Carrier Command: Gaea Mission footage shows off day-night cycles

Bohemia Interactive has released a new video for Carrier Command: Gaea Mission, in which the team demonstrates the in-game lighting and the day-night cycle that will be featured. It seems that 2012 will be a busy and exhausting year for Bohemia Interactive, as the team is preparing both ArmA 3 and Carrier Command: Gaea Mission, while at the same time supporting their heli sim game, Take on Helicopters. Overgrowth Alpha 168 Changes

Wolfire Games has released a new video, in which the company’s main programmer showcases the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, David Rosen created several new knives and updated the weapon collision system. Moreover, detail objects have min/max embed and scale values in the latest version of the game. Jorge Jimenez, a realtime graphics R&D programmer, has released a mind-blowing video that showcases the latest and final advances on real-time skin rendering (Separable Subsurface Scattering), which enable to quickly render skin in just two post-processing passes. What’s really important here is that everything you are about to see is written from scratch using DirectX 10 and rendered in real-time, from the skin to the film grain. Brand new Mari0 Beta footage shows off ‘bullet-time’ effect

It’s been a while since the last video of Mari0, the amazing mashup between Portal and Super Mario Bros. Luckily for you, YouTube’s member ‘Raicuparta’ captured some new footage, showing off the ‘bullet time’ effect that is available in the latest beta build of the game. Mari0 is a complete from scratch recreation of Super Mario Bros. with Mario having a portal gun. And if that wasn’t crazy enough, gamers can play simultaneously with as many friends as they can connect joypads to their PC, with everyone having their own Portal gun. New, lovely fan trailer for Cube World

I tell you, I can keep watching to this trailer for hours. Hell, I can keep watching someone playing Cube World all day as Wollay’s indie title is simply wonderful. Seriously, each and every new footage from it gets me excited and this could very well be the ‘Minecraft’ of 2012… provided it gets exposed to even more gamers. New CryEngine 3 video shows off ‘Natural Lighting’ in video games

Modder ‘maikel’ has released a new CryEngine 3 video that shows off what ‘natural lighting’ would look like in a video-game. The modder has been looking at how light works in the real world and how this can be translated in a game engine and his research is designed to answer: a) How does direct light, indirect light and atmospheric effects work in the real world and b) How can this be translated into a game engine. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier – SP Campaign Gameplay Trailer

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for their action tactical third person shooter game, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, which shows off the game’s Single Player campaign mode. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier will launch in the UK on May 25, 2012. The game will be available for X360 and PS3, and for Windows PC at a later date. Natural Selection 2 Build 194 Released, new ‘Gorilla’ Trailer is now available

Unknown Worlds has released a new trailer for Natural Selection 2, in which the Onos, marine jetpacks and new “mineshaft” map are shown for the first time. Natural Selection 2 is a standalone immersive, online FPS that pits aliens against humans in a strategic and action-packed struggle for survival. Two teams of up to 16 players face off with unique abilities in dynamic, evolving environments that change as you play.
