New Project CARS footage shows off the… driver’s hands

Although Project CARS looks amazing, a lot of PC gamers were complaining about the ‘hand-less’ cockpit view. You see, Project CARS is still in pre-alpha stage and Slightly Mad Studios hadn’t implemented any hands-animations for their drivers in the cockpit view. All that has been changed though, as the latest build of the game comes with… haaaaaands. YouTube’s member Markao05 went ahead and captured some laps with the Asano LM11 TDX and the game’s latest, pre-alpha 139, build. Enjoy! Indie game ‘Reflect’ showcases the future of PC gaming graphics; ray tracing in real-time

Reflect is a Portal-clone that is created by students of the IGAD program, a game development course of the NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Breda, The Netherlands. And it’s funny because this indie game, showcases the future of PC graphics. We have known for some time that ray tracing and global illumination would be the two ground-breaking ‘features’ in future graphics and we are excited to finally see ray-tracing in real-time. The game uses an in-house engine called, Brigade Engine, and comes with a path tracer for rendering. Make no mistake though, Reflect is quite demanding but damn does it look sexy. Ray-tracing is as ground-breaking as iD Software’s real-time dynamic lighting that was showcased in Doom 3. Yeah, we are talking about great stuff here guys, though some of you might not like the noise that is introduced in Reflect! Epic Battlefield 3 Cover by Advait Nemlekar

Which is really disappointing because, this cover my friends, is just epic. This is by far one of the best covers – for any game – I have ever heard and proves how talented this fella actually is. Advait Nemlekar deserves the spotlight, so enjoy BF3’s theme like never before! Continue reading Epic Battlefield 3 Cover by Advait Nemlekar

Aliens: Colonial Marines Delayed to Fall 2012; new cinematic trailer released

Bad news: Aliens: Colonial Marines was supposed to be released this Spring and is now delayed to Fall 2012. Good news: SEGA has released a new drooling cinematic teaser trailer for it. The game is developed by Gearbox and I’ll be honest with you; the gameplay footage that was shown last year was underwhelming and generic as hell. I don’t expect Gearbox to fix it (or get rid of the regenerated health or the scripted AI moments or the turret sections, but here is hoping). So, for now, enjoy this new trailer – courtesy of IGN!
