Final Fantasy XV is now available and while Square Enix has already provided us with a review code, we’ll slightly delay our PC Performance Analysis. The reason behind this delay is quite simple. Final Fantasy XV is an open-world RPG that taxes both the CPU and the GPU. As such, we’ve decided to invest first in a comparison between the Denuvo-free and the final retail version.
This is one of the rare cases where we can FINALLY discover the impact of the Denuvo anti-tamper tech in a triple-A game. This comparison will prove once and for all whether the latest version of the controversial anti-tamper tech has a performance hit in triple-A games, and especially in those that already stress the CPU.
We know that a lot of you want to know the answer to that question and since there have been some reports on Steam (both positive and negative), we won’t rush things.
Hopefully, our Denuvo-free vs Denuvo-protected comparison will go live this Friday. Our PC Performance Analysis will be then posted during the weekend.
So yeah, stay tuned everyone!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
