Nyu Media was kind enough to provide us with a review code for ARMED SEVEN – a new side-scrolling mecha-action title – and I have to say that I f’ing loved it. ARMED SEVEN is a retro side scroller with lots of enemies on screen. It has lovely 2D visuals, lots of explosions and a nice arsenal.
The only downside is that the game comes with only six stages. I mean come ooooooooooon. This game lasts around 15-20 minutes at best, which is somehow depressing at it’s a polished retro title. Ah, guess all good things never last long after all.
In ARMED SEVEN, players will have to pilot their mechas to protect the Earth Federation against the Neo Loran in this blast-a-thon of bullets, lasers, giant robots and boss fights.
Here are the key features of ARMED SEVEN:
• 6 stages of side scrolling mecha-shooting action!
• Customizable weapon load outs with 12 weapons to choose from!
• 16 achievements to earn!
• 4 difficulty levels: Easy to INSANE!
The game is priced at $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99 and is available via Desura, GamersGate, Rice Digital, Steam Greenlight + more digital distributors.
Enjoy the first 10 minutes of the game!
