Modder ‘PureDark’ has released a new mod for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora that enables support for DLSS 3 Frame Generation. Additionally, the modder has improved the quality of DLSS 3.5 Super Resolution. As such, the game will be now sharper with this mod.
Now the bad news here is that as with all of PureDark’s DLSS 3 Mods, this one is also behind a Patreon wall. Yeap, in order to enjoy DLSS 3, you’ll have to pay for it. It sucks but hey, it is what it is.
What’s also interesting here is that DLSS 3 Frame Generation does not have the UI stuttering issues of FSR 3.0 Frame Generation. Not only that but it works properly with both Borderless and Fullscreen Modes. The reason I’m mentioning this is because, according to some reports, FSR 3.0 FG works best with Borderless. For what it’s worth, I tried FSR 3.0 in Borderless on my RTX4090. Compared to Fullscreen, Borderless appears to be a bit better. However, I still had some “stuttery” issues. Again, FSR 3.0 FG’s implementation in Avatar is not as bad as the one we got in older games like Forspoken or Immortals of Aveum. However, it’s still inferior to DLSS 3 Frame Generation.
I also hope that LukeFZ will take a look at this game. LukeFZ has released free DLSS 3 mods for a couple of games. Right now, you can download free DLSS 3 Mods for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Lies of P. On the other hand, PureDark has released DLSS 3 Mods for even more PC games. As said though, PureDark’s mods aren’t available for free. Still, you can get DLSS 3 Frame Generation in games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2.
