Blackfire is considered one of the best mods for the original versions of Crysis 2 and Crysis 3. And, we are happy to report that the Blackfire team has released two new versions of its mod for Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered.
Blackfire for Crysis 2 Remastered aims for a bright and colorful sunny day. This is only a lighting mod, and will completely change the look and aesthetics of the game. As the team noted:
“Please notice this is not meant to be a realistic mod. It’s just a different approach to the game’s visuals, not aiming to preserve the original game art style at all.”
Similarly, Blackfire for Crysis 3 Remastered changes the TOD for pretty much all levels. For instance, the night levels now take place in daytime. Additionally, and due to these TOD changes, there are some graphical bugs and glitches. For instance, some of the game’s structures don’t cast shadow properly, so be aware that in some places the lighting can look a little bit odd.
You can download Blackfore for Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered from here and here, respectively.
Have fun and kudos to our reader “Tim D” for bringing this to our attention!
