Modder ‘Jinxkittyuwu’ has released an amazing musical orchestral enhancement mod for the classic JRPG, Chrono Trigger. This mod will replace the original tunes with high-quality orchestral versions. As such, we highly recommend downloading it.
Jinxkittyuwu has spent 14 hours creating it. As he noted, this new OST ‘will flood your RPG experience with plentiful emotion that wasn’t present prior.’
Unfortunately, the modder has not shared any showcase video for this OST. Thus, there is no way to preview the new music tracks. It sucks but hey, it is what it is. At least you can download this orchestral OST for free from this link.
Speaking of Chrono Trigger mods, here is another one. Back in 2022, we shared this mod that aimed to make the PC port look similar to the original/classic SNES version. It’s worth noting that Square Enix had already offered a mode that is more in line with the original style of the game. However, the mod goes one step further.
It’s really ironic but two of the biggest features of the PC port were the “new” graphics and sounds. And yet, here we are with mods that further improve both of them.
When it came out on PC, Chrono Trigger faced a lot of backlash. To its credit, though, Square Enix released multiple patches to address most of the criticism. In its current state, Chrono Trigger is great on PC. Not only that but it has Very Positive Reviews on Steam.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
