Dying Light 2 new feature

Dying Light 2 just got an AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation Mod

NexusMods’ member ‘dragoncosmico’ has shared an AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Generation Mod for Dying Light 2. This mod is based on the FSR 2.0 to FSR 3.0 bridge by LukeFZ, which basically replaces FSR 2.0 with FSR 3.0.

Now I don’t really know whether LukeFZ has given his permission to dragoncosmico to share this FSR 3.0 Mod. From what I know, this FSR 3.0 is still in the beta phase (and behind a Patreon wall). So, make sure to download it while you still can.

Contrary to the previous DLSS 3 to FSR 3.0 Mod we shared in December 2023, this one works on all AMD GPUs. It should also work on NVIDIA’s GPUs. As such, owners of an RTX20 or RTX30 series will be now able to enable Frame Generation in Dying Light 2.

As with most mods, this FSR 3.0 implementation has some issues. According to its description, there are artifacts on texts and HUD. There is also a little but noticeable input lag. In short, don’t expect it to be as good as the native support we got in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Dying Light 2 came out in 2022 and it had some cool Ray Tracing effects. However, I’m not sure whether this mod will appeal to most of you. After all, Dying Light 2 wasn’t a huge hit and most of you may have already lost interest in it. But hey, if you’re still playing it, you can at least now slightly improve its performance.

You can download this FSR 3.0 Mod from this link.

Speaking of Frame Generation Mods, you might also want to check these out. For instance, you can download these free DLSS 3 Mods for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Lies of P. Then we have the FSR 3.0 mods for The Last of Us Part I and Dead Space Remake. Sadly, these mods are still behind a Patreon wall. Last month, we also shared a DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. And then have the DLSS 3 Mods for Baldur’s Gate 3Grand Theft Auto 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Stay tuned for more!
