Modder ‘bp42s’ has just released a new mod for Fallout 4 that adds to it some new Fallout: New Vegas/Fallout 76-style challenges. By completing these challenges, players will receive new perks, bonuses, and rewards.
Going into more details, this new Challenge System will be used in the upcoming Fallout 4: New Vegas project. Since that mod won’t come out soon, though, bp42s decided to go ahead and release it as a separate mod.
CHALLENGES currently contains almost every FNV challenge and most FNV challenge perks, with some challenges modernized for faster processing and easy tracking. The modder aims to add more challenges and rewards. These new challenges will be likely inspired by the Fallout 76 SCOREBOARD challenges.
Do note that a handful of challenges do not track your first action. According to the modder, this isn’t a bug. It’s just how the mod is structured and optimized. The challenges run as intended after starting up.
Those interested can go ahead and download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a showcase video for it.
Speaking of Fallout 4, you may find interesting these other mods for it. For instance, there is an LOD mod that reduces distant objects/shadows/textures pop-ins. Then we have the Disk Cache Enabler Mod. There’s also a mod that adds ragdoll physics and collisions to dead bodies. Another amazing mod is this one that fixes the game’s long loading times. DirectHit is a mod that overhauls the AI of enemies. And let’s not forget this mod that adds real locational damage to all enemies. You can also download an 8K Texture Pack, or this 41GB 4K Texture Pack which optimizes all 40,962 textures. Finally, there is a mod that adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 2, AMD FSR 2 and Intel XeSS.
Have fun!
