Modder ‘CRT’ has released the first 4K Texture Pack for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that improves the faces of all in-game characters. This includes all NPCs, as well as the main story characters.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the most optimized PC games of 2025. However, the game does have a lot of low-res textures. And that’s where this 4K Texture Pack comes in. By using it, you will be able to enhance all of the faces in the game.
Below you can find a comparison between a vanilla and a modded face. Just look at how much better the new texture is. This is exactly what I want to see from HD Texture Packs. So, kudos to CRT for delivering such a solid pack.
You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. The pack is 3.4GB in size. Once you’ve downloaded it, you can extract the zip and place the content into your “Mods” game folder. At the end of the article, you can also find a comparison video for it.
Let’s now hope that someone will release a mod that will overhaul the textures for the bodies and clothes of all NPCs. I’d also love to see a 4K Texture Pack for trees and vegetation. Other than that, I’m pretty satisfied with KCD2. Okay okay, there are all sorts of visual shortcomings. Still, though, it looks great and runs smoothly.
KCD2 has sold incredibly well. In just one day, the game passed one million copies. It also hit over 250K concurrent players on Steam. So, it will be interesting to see whether its modding community will take off after those impressive numbers. Will we see just cosmetics? Or will it be possible to add custom quests as well?
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
