GTA 5: Definitive Edition Improved RT Reflections Mod Released


Modder ‘BadassBaboon’, creator of the RealityV Mod, has released a new mod that improves the ray-traced reflections of GTA 5. This mod overhauls the game’s reflections so that they can look better and more realistic.

With this mod, buildings, houses, apartments, and shops now have windows and glass that reflect even more things. Also, puddles and water now show real reflections of the world around them.

And that’s not all. The mod fixes translucent surface reflections. It also adds proper shaders and textures to models such as underpasses to take advantage of RT reflections. Plus, the building LODs are also adjusted for smooth reflection transitions.

Right now, the majority of the city is updated to fully take advantage of the new RT technology. So, make sure to download it as it’s one of the must-have mods for this next-gen version of GTA 5. Well… that is if you want even better RT effects.

To showcase the visual improvements, the modder has shared the following comparison video. So, check it out as it can give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from it.

This mod should also be compatible with RealityV. However, I’m not sure whether it will work with the ChromatiX Enhanced Mod. For what it’s worth, these two mods are the best ones for GTA 5 Enhanced Edition.

Razed is also working on a new version of the Natural Vision Mod. Now I don’t know whether Natural Vision Enhanced will have these improved RT reflections. What I do know, is that it will have better Ray Tracing shadows.

Since this is a completely different mod from RealityV, it could be compatible with Natural Vision Enhanced. And, in my opinion, this will be the best-case scenario. By using both of them, we will be able to get better RT reflections and shadows. Otherwise, we’ll have to wait until BadassBaboon releases another mod to improve the RT Shadows.
