Modder ‘DoubleYou’ has released a new HD Texture Pack for Fallout 4 that overhauls all of the game’s armor and clothes. DobleYou has put a lot of effort into this pack, and these new textures look better than the vanilla ones. Thus, we highly recommend downloading it.
Going into more details, the modder has revised all diffuse textures with additional details. Moreover, DoubleYo has redone all normals maps to improve details, and fixed vanilla texture errors. All of the face-covering helmets, masks, and glasses were remodeled to include transparency so you can see the faces. Additionally, the modder improved specular and environment mapping effects, and added some forgotten cut content.
Now what’s interesting here is that although this pack is lower resolution than the official High-Resolution Texture Pack, it’s of better quality. Most diffuse textures are 4K BC1 and BC7, whereas normal maps are 2K BC5, and specular maps are 2K BC5.
You can download this Fallout 4 HD Texture Pack for armor and clothes from here. It’s also worth noting that the modder had previously shared some other HD Texture Packs for this game. For example, you can find HD Texture Packs for Vines, Plants and Rocks. These mods are compatible with each other, so you can use all of them.
At the end of the article, you can also find some comparison screenshots. The vanilla screenshots are on the left, whereas the modded screenshots are on the right. I’ve also included a video, showcasing the benefits of Reshade Ray Tracing.
Speaking of Fallout 4 mods, we also suggest taking a look at the following ones. Whispering Hills is a cool Silent Hill mod, whereas Fallout 4 Project Mojave is a full remake of the New Vegas strip (featuring 3 functional casinos). Additionally, The Wilderness Mod adds a worldplace that is as big as Nuka World. Moreover, Fallout 4: Sim Settlements 2 Chapter 2 adds new quests and a game mode. And lastly, you can download this mod that adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 2, AMD FSR 2 & Intel XeSS.
Enjoy!
