As you may all know, I’m a huge fan of the Yakuza series. And although Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recommends a gamepad, I’ve played all of them with keyboard and mouse. Yes, the mouse implementation in most of them is not that good. However, all of them are playable. At least in my opinion. However, if you could not stand the K&M implementation in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, there is now a mod that fixes it.
Created by Dawid Freeman, this mod replaces the analog stick emulation for proper 1:1 mouse input with no acceleration. As such, you will be now able to enjoy this Yakuza game with raw mouse input.
This is a must-have mod for everyone who wants to play Yakuza: Like a Dragon. So, I highly recommend downloading it from this link.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon came out on PC in November 2020. So, this mod is a bit late, at least for most die-hard Yakuza fans. Still, this is something that a lot of PC gamers will appreciate.
I just hope we’ll see similar mods for most – if not all – of the other Yakuza games. I’ve played pretty much all of them but still, some other PC gamers may finally be able to enjoy them with K&M. David has told me that he’s looking into modding Yakuza Kiwami 2. Since this process can take some time, the mouse fix mod for Yakuza Kiwami 2 will most likely come out in January 2025.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
