Over the past couple of weeks, a lot of character swap mods have surfaced for Black Myth: Wukong. As such, I’ve decided to collect and share the best of them in one big article. So, let’s take a look at them.
As the title suggests, PC gamers can now play as Kratos, Son Goku, 2B, Deadpool, and Darthmaul in this latest action title. There are also mods that allow you to become Donatello and Hellboy.
Let’s start with the God of War mod. This appears to be one of the best character swap mods as the 3D model of Kratos works incredibly well. It also makes kind of sense to have Kratos fight other Gods. I mean, that’s his thing. After dealing with the Greek and Viking Gods, it’s time to duke it out with the Chinese Gods.
The next mod that makes even more sense is the Son Goku Mod. Dragonball and Son Goku are based on Journey to the West and Sun Wukong. So, replacing Wukong with Son Goku is pretty neat. My only gripe is with the quality of the 3D models that are currently available on NexusMods. To put it simply, none of them looks great. The only acceptable mod is the one with the Jump Force model. However, Goku’s shoulder looks really weird. Still, I’m sure that most DBZ fans will want to play as Kakarotto, no matter what. So, go ahead and download the mod from this link. You can also use this mod to replace the main weapon with Goku’s power pole.
Then we have the Deadpool, Darth Maul, Donatello, and 2B mods. The first three are really cool, so you might want to give them a go. I’ve also included videos from all of them below. Thus, you can get an idea of what they look like. As for 2B? Well, her head is fine but her arms are too long. Those long arms make her feel weird. So, you might want to skip that one (until someone comes up with a better mod).
Finally, there is this Hellboy Mod. However, the 3D model lacks detail and feels kind of bad. So, use it only if you are fans of Hellboy.
Speaking of Black Myth: Wukong, I also suggest downloading these other mods for it. The first one enables Virtual Shadow Maps. This is a must for everyone who doesn’t use Ray Tracing. By default, the game has awful shadows, making everything look kind of bad. So, make sure to get it if you don’t want to use Path Tracing. The other mod (which you can find in the same article) allows you to disable the oversharpening. Not only that but it also has a FOV setting. Lastly, you can download an in-game map.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
