Modder ‘DominicGraham1994’ has released a new city expansion for Skyrim Special Edition that looks absolutely stunning. At least by Skyrim’s standards.
This city expansion allows you to explore Alestara’s grandeur in Skyrim. Players can explore its grand architecture, bustling marketplaces, serene gardens, and vibrant districts, each with its own unique atmosphere. This is one of the best city mods we’ve seen, sporting an amazing art style. As such, we highly recommend downloading it from here.
DominicGraham1994 aims to expand this into a DLC-sized fan expansion. The modder wants to implement quests and new NPCs, as well as guilds and organizations. Additionally, there are plans for player housing, new gameplay mechanics (like arena battles and library research), as well as city events.
Now I don’t know whether DominicGraham1994 will be able to accomplish all those features. From what I could see, the modder is a bit inexperienced and this project feels too ambitious for a one-man army. DominicGraham1994 is currently hoping to gain community support on adding quests, armor, NPCs / custom voices, compression on textures/models, and LODS.
Speaking of Skyrim Special Edition, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. This Call of Duty Mod adds to the game 12 new fully functional weapons from it. Then we have this mod that adds to Skyrim over 7000 voiced lines via AI. There is also this mod that adds to the game The Witcher 3 Ciri/Geralt Voices. Another cool mod is this one that adds destructible objects to the game.
Lastly, here are some DLC-sized fan expansions. Wyrmstooth is an expansion-sized mod that adds new quests and dungeons. There is also a mod that brings elements from The Witcher games to Bethesda’s RPG. Dragon Hall Tavern is another 2GB DLC-sized mod for Skyrim, adding new quests, locations, arena & more. Then we have Land of Vominhem, Apotheosis and Legacy of the Dragonborn. You should also check out this Castlevania-inspired mod, as well as this mod that adds to the game the Nemesis system from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. And finally, this DLC-sized Mod that adds six main isles to explore.
