Starfield NPCs Daily Routines Mod

Starfield Mod adds daily routines to 40 NPCs across major cities

Starfield fans, here is something for you. Modder ‘FlippingEggs’ has released a pretty cool mod for it that adds daily routines to 36 named NPCs, and 4 unnamed NPCs across major cities and settlements.

Going into more details, this mod adds daily schedules to 40 NPCs in total. It also adds 10 new robots that work in various stores, so you can buy stuff when the store owner isn’t there. Plus, it adds 57 data slates to various store countertops and NPCs’ personal spaces.

The modder has added NPC routines that are controlled by custom AI packages which he created from scratch. As such, NPCs will physically walk from their store to various locations, and back. All schedules and store hours are based on a planet’s local time. The business directories for the New Atlantis and Akila information kiosks have been updated to show businesses that have hours and/or robots.

Not only that but FlippingEggs restored two vanilla dialogue scenes. Antonio Bianchi (UC Surplus in the Well) and Farad Kallob (Eit Clothiers) will now have unique greeting scenes. Plus, the modder added extra dialogue options that allow you to skip some of the longer greeting conversations that Neon vendors give to you the first time you talk to them.

In short, this is a cool mod that will make the world of Starfield more believable. Oh, and get this. These new NPC routines will not choke your CPU performance. For those unaware, last week, Capcom claimed that the CPU performance issues of Dragon’s Dogma 2 were mainly due to the NPC AI routines. It sounded ridiculous, especially with that awful NPC draw distance that DD2 has. But hey, that’s what the devs claimed. So, I guess Capcom should hire modders who can properly code such tasks. Seriously, it made no sense for those AI routines to bring high-end CPUs to their knees. I mean, we had such things in the past, running on WAY weaker CPUs without issues. So, Capcom should get their shit together.

Speaking of Starfield, here are some other mods that you can download. This mod adds cool quests when you explore new places. There’s also a mod that makes dead bodies move realistically, as well as a mod that aims to overhaul the game’s enemy AI. In September 2023, we shared the Disk Cache Enabler Mod, which helps reduce how much space the game uses on your computer. There’s also a mod that gives characters super realistic eyes. Halo fans can use this mod to play as the Master Chief himself. Earlier this month, we also shared a DLC-sized expansion mod that allows you to create whole colonies with giant mechs, defense turrets, a farming system and more. Oh, and if you don’t like the default camera views in dialogue, there’s a mod to disable them.

Sprinting Stuttering Fix is another cool mod that stops the annoying stutters when you run. Then, you can grab this mod that makes the game run smoother by fixing a bunch of scripts. You can also get StarFinance, which brings an advanced financial system. And don’t forget these two must-have mods that make the game look and feel better with a new User Interface and cooler Particle Effects. On the other hand, this mod lets you travel between planets in real-time. We also have this mod which adds 50 new space encounters to the game. And let’s not forget this Fleet Expansion Mod. Finally, this mod brings a dynamic weather system into the game, and this mod improves the behavior of NPCs.

Lastly, here are all the best Starfield mods you can download.

Have fun!
