Modder ‘zenlung’ has released an amazing movement overhaul mod for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen. The mod adds extra states between the vanilla running, jogging, and sprinting states. Moreover, it brings a RDR2-like sprinting mechanic to the game.
Going into more details, the Movement Overhaul Mod replaces the vanilla slow walk, walk, run, and sprint states with 9 different speeds. Moreover, it brings a 2-step speed variance in deep water walk animation with the sprint button.
Players can tap the sprint button (A or LS on a gamepad or L-Shift on keyboard) to gradually increase the movement speed. This works similarly to the sprinting in Red Dead Redemption 2. Players can also hold the sprint button to keep the speed stable. By releasing the sprint button, Geralt will gradually decrease his speed.
