Last month, we shared a must-have HD Texture Pack for Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Created by modder ‘Alezein’, that pack overhauled all of the textures of the Sector 7 Slums section. And today, we are presenting you a new version of it that overhauls over 6150 environmental textures.
As the modder noted, this HD Texture Pack takes all the textures below 4K (4096×4096), and replaces them with AI upscaled versions of both C textures (color maps) and N textures (detail maps).
You can download this AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack from here. There are currently six big files that you can download. The compressed version of this HD Texture Pack is 23.5GB, whereas its uncompressed size is around 45GB.
Do note though that this mod doesn’t make low poly stuff better. Furthermore, it does not include the Yuffie chapters.
Speaking of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, we also suggest using the following mods. This FOV/Camera Distance Modifier Mod lets you adjust the camera viewpoint to your liking. Dynamic Resolution Disabler is also a must-have mod that de-activates DRS (which is enabled by default). Another cool mod unlocks the dev console, allowing you to also unlock the game’s framerate. And lastly, there is an in-game character customization mod, as well as a mod that improves over 530 NPCs faces.
Below you can also find some comparison screenshots between the vanilla (left) and the modded (right) textures.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
