Modder ‘PraedythXVI’ has released an 8K Texture Pack for both Skyrim LE and Skyrim Special Edition that completely overhauls Castle Volkihar. As with most HD Texture Packs, this is a must-have for all Skyrim players.
Going into more details, Castle Volkihar HD’s roof has its own textures instead of using sky haven temple textures. The bridge also has its own textures instead of using imperial dungeon textures. Furthermore, the modder has re-textured the moondial and crests. Additionally, the glowing parts of each crest now use multi-layer parallax and glow.
It’s also worth noting that this HD Texture Pack comes in 1K, 2K and 4K versions. Thus, these packs will be perfect for those that can’t run the 8K version.
You can download the mod for Skyrim Legacy Edition and Skyrim Special Edition from here and here, respectively.
Speaking of Skyrim LE, you should be able to use it with this HD Texture Pack that overhauls all of the landscape textures. It should also work with the next-gen pseudo 3D world map mod. Similarly for Skyrim Special Edition, it should be compatible with the pack that overhauls all armors, actors & clutter. It should also work with the Dynamic Volumetric Lighting and Sun Shadows mod or with this mod that overhauls the textures of virtually all towns.
Lastly, you can find numerous HD Texture Packs for both Skyrim Legacy Edition and Skyrim Special Edition.
Below you can find some screenshots that showcase the new 8K textures.
Have fun!
