Modder ‘tomatojuice’ has released an amazing mod for Cyberpunk 2077 that introduces ChatGPT support to it. The modder has basically integrated the OpenAI API into the game, allowing you to call a number of AI methods directly from the scripting level.
With this plugin, players can use OpenAI’s GPT to generate unique dialogue for non-player characters (NPCs). According to the modder, this can increase the diversity and richness of in-game interactions.
Do note, you’ll have to use ChatGPT via script in order to get the new AI lines in Cyberpunk 2077. In other words, you won’t encounter NPCs using AI lines while playing the game. So, hopefully, a modder will be able to create a mod with this plugin to give NPCs new dialogue lines.
What’s also cool here is that this plugin can generate unique storylines or side quests based on in-game events or player actions. Additionally, it can generate procedural missions based on context, NPC data, and player preferences using AI. Modders can also use AI to generate dynamic responses from the environment. And if that wasn’t enough, AI can control enemy tactics based on the player’s strategy and actions, making combat more challenging and unpredictable.
In short, this plugin opens up a lot of gameplay possibilities. Thus, it will be interesting to see what modders can make out of it.

Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. The Rebalance Megamod attempts to overhaul numerous aspects of the game, such as the AI, armors, perks, melee, player stats, weapons and more. You can also download an Enhanced Photo Mode Unlocker. Furthermore, there is a cool Deus Ex/Dishonored-inspired Stealth Mod. And lastly, this mod adds a flying mechanism to all cars, whereas these mods unlock/introduce other explorable areas.
Have fun!
