This Tekken 8 Mod Removes Heat, Rage, Power Crush & Excess Tracking

A lot of players have been disappointed by some of the new gameplay mechanics of Tekken 8. And, surprisingly enough, a modder was able to completely remove Heat, Rage, and Power Crush from the game.

Not only that, but the mod removes some of the ridiculous tracking for some moves. Plus, it’s fully compatible with online play. The catch here is that for it to work, both players (in online mode) will need to have the mod installed.

Right now, Bandai Namco will not ban you for using it. After all, the game does not have any anti-cheat system. Moreover, the Tekken 8 devs have allowed many players to cheat online using third-party tools. So yeah, it seems unlikely they will hunt and ban those that only use this mod.

Despite that, I don’t recommend the mod for online play. Still, if you and your friends want to experiment, it’s a decision you will have to take.

For those wondering, no. This mod will NOT address the gameplay issues of Season 2. It will not remove the new moves that the devs have added. However, it may reduce their tracking.

In a way, this may be a dream come true for a lot of old-school Tekken players. Without Heat, Rage and Power Crushes, Tekken 8 feels closer to an old Tekken game. And this may be exactly what some of the die-hard Tekken fans wanted. So, if you are one of them, you should definitely try it.

To be honest, it would have been cool if T8 had a “legacy mode” that completely disabled all of these mechanics. This is wishful thinking, I know. But imagine if the Tekken 8 devs were truly aiming to appease all fighting players (instead of chasing the easy money). Man, what a bummer.

I also hope that a future version of this mod will remove the chip damage. This is something that all T8 players hate. So, this mod could become EVEN BETTER if it manages to completely remove it.

Anyway, this is a really cool mod that you can download from this link.

Have fun!
