Aspyr has just released the remastered collection for the first three classic Tomb Raider games, and the first NSFW mod for it is already available for download.
This first mod will make Lara Croft topless. This is a pretty basic mod, and we expect more “detailed” ones to come out in the coming weeks. Still, the fact that there is already one out is wild. I mean, the game came out just yesterday.
Ironically, this mod reminded me of an old fake screenshot that circulated the gaming magazines in the 90s. Back then, there were fake cheats, suggesting that you could make Lara Croft completely naked. I don’t know whether or not that boosted the game’s sales even more. What I know is that a lot of console gamers were trying everything they could to get Lara naked. And, as you may have guessed, Core Design never included such cheats in the game. The only way you could make Lara naked was on PC via mods. That mod was called “naked Lara”. Ah, the memories.
Anyway, those interested can download the mod from this link. According to the modder, this will replace her TR1 original costume.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered currently has Very Positive Reviews on Steam. The collection also hit a peak of 7K concurrent players yesterday.
Now as we’ve said, the collection comes with numerous graphical improvements. Tomb Raider I-III Remastered has baked and real-time lighting effects. Players can also expect better textures and higher-quality 3D models. Plus, the devs have replaced the item sprites with 3D models. And yes, Aspyr has also updated the 3D model of Lara. This new 3D model manages to stay true to the original art style. At the same time, Lara is no longer as polygonal as she was in the 32-bit days.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
