Modders ‘Streetrat’ and ‘Marulu’ have been working on a VR Mod for World of Warcraft for ten years. And today, this VR mod is finally available for download, letting you experience this classic MMORPG in a completely different and unique way.
Going into more details, this mod adds full 6DOF VR with motion controls to World of Warcraft. Players will be able to experience the game with directional audio, synced eye rendering), as well as the ability to switch between third-person and first-person viewpoints.
This is a must-have mod for all VR owners, and you can download it from the Discord channel of Flat2VR. Below you can also find a trailer for it. This trailer will give you an idea of what you can expect from it, so be sure to watch it.
There is really nothing more to add. Honestly, the VR PC modding community has done wonders these past couple of years. Although we haven’t seen a lot of triple-A VR games, modders have added unofficial VR support to a lot of them. It’s a shame really as Half-Life: Alyx proved how game-changing VR can be. Then again, most PC gamers are still hesitant to invest in a VR headset. After all, most of them are not that cheap. So, can’t you really blame the devs for skipping VR?
Anyway, speaking of VR, you can also download similar mods for other triple-A games. Half-Life 2 already has a VR Mod, as do Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two. In September 2023, we also shared VR Mods for Portal 2 and Far Cry. Then we have these VR Mods for Resident Evil 4 Remake and Trespasser. Finally, you can play Hogwarts Legacy in VR with this mod.
Have fun!
