Silent Hill fans, here is something special for you today. ZealotTormunds has just released a new mod for Silent Hill 2 that allows you to play it in third-person or first-person mode. This will completely change the way you experience this classic SH game. So, waste no time and download the mod.
So, what does this mod do? Well, it basically adds an Over-the-shoulder third-person viewpoint to the game. Moreover, you can switch to a first-person mode if you like. Not only that but you can now aim manually.
Now what’s great here is that this mod is compatible with Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition. In case you didn’t know, Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition is a collection of mods that enhances the game and makes it playable on all modern systems. This is a must for everyone who wants to replay this classic SH game. As such, it makes really happy to see these mods working together.
You can download the mod from this link. And, in case you’re wondering, yes. This is similar to the ones we shared for Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4.
In case you’re wondering how this 3rd-person mode fares against the upcoming remake of SH2, you can find a comparison video here. For this comparison, Cycu1 used a similar mod. As such, it can give you a pretty good idea of how much better the remake will look.
I also suggest taking a look at similar first-person mods for some other triple-A games. For example, both Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Ghost Recon Wildlands now have body-cam style first-person mods. You can also find FPS mods for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Even the classic Max Payne 2 has a first-person mod. And that’s not all. You can play Hogwarts Legacy, Palworld, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, The Witcher 3, Lies of P, and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in first-person as well. Oh, and there are similar mods for Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake. And if you’re playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on PC, there’s a first-person mod for that too. So, pretty cool stuff, right?
Have fun and stay tuned for more!
