Last week, Ubisoft released the latest part in its Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. As we’ve reported, Assassin’s Creed Mirage can run smoothly on a wide range of PC configurations. However, Ubisoft has used Chromatic Aberration in it, without giving a setting to disable it. Thankfully, though, there is now a mod that allows you to completely remove it.
You can download the mod from here. Below you can also find a comparison between the game’s vanilla and modded versions.
Since I’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed Mirage, I have to say that the game does not look that blurry on my PC. For instance, here is a screenshot. Focus now on the palm tree. As you can clearly see, it does not look as blurry as showcased above. Yes, you can still notice the Chromatic Aberration. However, it’s not as exaggerated as in the “Before” screenshot. For what it’s worth, I run the game in 4K with DLAA so perhaps this helps CA?
I should also note that Ubisoft may soon add an option to disable Chromatic Aberration. Until that happens, though, you can use this mod to remove it.
Speaking of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, PureDark has released a DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod for it. Furthermore, LukeFZ has also shared a free DLSS 3 Mod on his Discord, and we expect to see it hit NexusMods later this week.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
