3D Realms has just announced a remaster of the crime-themed first-person shooter that came out in 1999, Kingpin: Life of Crime. According to the developers, Kingpin: Reloaded will bring new life to the Quake II engine classic.
The game will support 4K resolution, ultrawide monitors, and improved graphics in Enhanced Mode. Furthermore, it will have a Classic Mode for all purists out there. Controller support will also make the game more accessible for anyone who wants to explore the depths of Kingpin’s depravity. In addition, Kingpin Reloaded will have even more improvements, like a new quest and conversation systems.
Kingpin’s immersive sim elements will allow the Thug to recruit other gangsters with a conversation system. Players can increase the Thug’s influence through multiple hub-based missions. Players can also run with the gang on a violent warpath with upgradeable weapons including Tommy guns, bazookas, and more.
The game will have location-based damage, as well as a “No Violence” game mode.
In order to showcase the graphical improvements, 3D Realms released the following comparison screenshots. You can also find below the game’s announcement trailer.
Enjoy!
