8bit fans, here is something special for you. Our dear friend, Nick Molyviatis, spotted an indie, free-to-play, side-scroller that is meant to be the ultimate tribute to the NES and a masterpiece of 8-bit parodies. Abobo’s Big Adventure has just been released and comes with a ton of custom artwork, cutscenes, unique rage moves on each level, huge boss battles, secrets, unlockables, jokes, and a whopping 100 achievement medals. This is simply awesome and you should definitely give it a go. After all, it’s a free game!
You can play Abobo’s Big Adventure by visiting its official website.
Here is some gameplay footage from it!
John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
