Microsoft has announced the release of Age of Empires: Definitive Edition on the PC, exclusively via the Windows Store. Age of Empires Definitive Edition features full remastered visuals with 4K support, new zoom levels, new and improved gameplay, as well as a fully remastered soundtrack.
This Definitive Edition of the classic strategy game comes with tons of new features, such as an Attack Move, 250-300 population cap, Rally Points Basic, Rally Points Contextual (Intelligent Villagers), Grid default key layout, Unit queuing and Right-click mouse scroll.
For Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, Microsoft has rebuilt assets for a modern 4K presentation, offers players the ability to play online with Xbox LIVE (in addition to LAN play), added campaign narration for every mission and enhanced the campaign and scenario editor, which allows anyone to make original custom campaigns for the game, by letting players easily share them with other players around the world.
In order to celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also released the game’s launch trailer that can be viewed below.
