Remedy Entertainment today announced that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, the critically acclaimed action-packed stand alone spinoff of Alan Wake, is now available for download on Steam and GOG for £11.99. To thank gamers for their continued support, fans who own the original Alan Wake will receive 15% off their purchase.
Matias Myllyrinne, CEO at Remedy said:
“Our heritage is in developing PC games so naturally we’re thrilled to be bringing the newest Alan Wake story to PC gamers. We’ve worked hard to continue to make the experience worthwhile to fans that wait patiently for our PC releases, and we think they’ll agree this is an excellent addition.”
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is a stand alone pulp action adventure that follows Wake to ‘Night Springs’, a twisted, horrifying alternate reality where fiction has become real. Wake must leap into action and pursue his evil doppelganger, Mr. Scratch, across the Arizona mesa towards the town of Night Springs. Scratch, a supernatural serial killer, has his evil plans set on Wake’s wife, Alice. Wake must learn to control reality itself and unravel the secret to Mr. Scratch’s demise while using the power of light to put an end to the darkness.
The PC release of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare has been revamped for the PC with stunning high-resolution graphics, texture resolutions and graphical options, along with enhanced PC features including the all-new Nightmare difficulty mode, customisable controls, stereoscopic 3D and multiscreen. The PC version also includes the “Fight till Dawn” arcade mode that places Wake in the battle of his life.
Players are tasked with surviving a full night of brutal onslaughts while racking up their score. With a myriad of new enemies to battle, Wake won’t have any trouble since he’ll have plenty of deadly options within his arsenal: old stalwarts like the flare gun, wild new favorites like the nail gun and old school Remedy favorites like the Uzi. Surviving until dawn is only the beginning as online leader boards pit friends head to head to see who the real champion of light is.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is available now on both Steam and GOG.
