Silent Hill is still considered among the best horror titles ever released. And since the latest parts of this franchise cannot come close to what its classic ones achieved, a team of modders decided to create a total conversion mod for Half Life 2 that is inspired by them. As its description reads, Alchemilla is attempt to recreate original atmosphere of cult game Silent Hill on the Source Engine.
Before jumping to early conclusions, know this; Alchemilla is not a Silent Hill remake. This mod has a unique story, characters, locations, etc. So what it has in common with Silent Hill? The concept. Oh, and the fact that it is built for all fans of the Silent Hill series.
Although there is no release date yet, the team has released a demo that can be downloaded from here. Do note that you will need the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer in order to run the game (can be downloaded via Steam).
Enjoy!
