Man, AMD is on fire lately. A couple of days ago, the company has released yet another beta driver for its graphics cards. This is the fifth beta of the 13.2, and it’s perhaps the first time we’ve seen so many updates in so little time. Ironically, Nvidia (who was known for doing something similar in the past) has not been rolling out as many beta drivers these past months as AMD.
According to its changelog, AMD Catalyst 13.2 Beta 5 improves CrossFire scaling by up to 40% in Crysis 3, improves performance up to 10% at 2560×1600 with 8xAA in Far Cry 3 and adds CrossFire profile support for the new 3D Mark release under Windows 8.
Those interested can download it from here.
This latest beta version includes all fixes and improvements that were introduced in previous beta releases. We’d also recomment uninstalling your current drivers before putting them!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
