AMD has announced its new RDNA3 graphics cards, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and the Radeon RX 7900 XT. According to the red team, these two GPUs will release on December 13th, and below you can find their specs, prices, and first benchmarks.
The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX will be the flagship graphics card. This GPU will have 96 CUs, 24GB of GDDR6, frequency clocks that can be boosted to 2.3Ghz, and will support DisplayPort 2.1. On the other hand, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT will have 84 CUs, 20GB of GDDR6, and clocks that can go up to 2Ghz.
The MSRP price of these GPUs will be $999 and $899, respectively.
AMD has also shared some gaming benchmarks. The red team claims that the high-end GPU will be significantly faster than the RX 6950XT in ray-traced games. Moreover, the 7900 XTX will be up to 1.7x faster than the RX 6950XT in rasterized games.
All in all, and for its price, the RX 7900XTX will be against the upcoming RTX 4080. From the looks of it, AMD’s high-end GPU won’t be able to compete with the RTX 4090. Nevertheless, and once we purchase it, we’ll be able to share some benchmarks.
