Bethesda’s Pete Hines has announced that Skyrim’s Creation Kit is finally available on Steam. Those interested in ‘playing’ with it will need Skyrim, as the Kit is not available to those gamers that have not purchased Bethesda’s RPG. And we seriously can’t wait to see what modders will come up with it. Bring the awesome mods!
As Hines tweeted:
“The Creation Kit is up on Steam! Have at it!”
And remember when we stated that a High Resolution Pack would be coming alongside the Creation kit? Well, we were right as the texture pack is now available for free and weights around 3.1GB. Those interested in testing it will need Windows Vista or 7 as the operating system, a minimum of 4GB of system RAM, and a DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with at least 1 GB of RAM and the latest drivers.
Time now to see how good this official high-resolution texture pack actually is and whether or not it is better than the fan-made ones!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
