We’ve said before and we’ll say it again – CRYENGINE has a lot of potential. And even though we’ve seen a number of small developers creating games via it, most of the triple-A developers seem to be overlooking it. Well, not anymore. Arkane Studios’ HR manager revealed today that the studio is currently developing a new game via Crytek’s engine.
As Ashley Pierce tweeted:
“BattleCry & Arkane are developing on @cryengine & hiring! Gameplay, Graphics, Platform, Server, Web Engineers”
It will be interesting to see what Arkane has in store for us. Since the team is now hiring for this CRYENGINE project, we can safely assume that it will be coming on next-gen platforms.
So what do you guys think? A sequel to Dishonored powered by CRYENGINE or a completely new project?
