Our reader Sid Spyker has informed us about a delay for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed 3. According to Sid, a reliable source told him that Assassin’s Creed 3 PC will be delayed to November 23rd. In case you have not been aware of, this is the same date that was hinted in a promotional image a while back. XboxGameZone also confirms this delay, suggesting that our reader is right.
Back in July, Ubisoft’s creative lead, Alex Hutchinson, revealed in Comic-Con that Ubisoft has a dedicated team for Assassin’s Creed 3 PC and that it will support DX11. When asked about a potential PC delay, Hutchinson said that ‘everything is going out at basically the same time.’
Obviously, there was a reason Hutchinson used the term ‘at basically the same time.’ In all honesty, we were expecting this but it’s just sad that Ubisoft has not been clear on the PC release date from the get-go.
Last but not least, we just got the official press release which reveals what Sid and the promotional image suggested. It’s official – Assassin’s Creed 3 PC is coming on November 23rd, three weeks after the console release.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
