Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is free to play until April 30th for all players. This means that for two whole weeks, this latest AC game will be playable for free. And, to celebrate this announcement, the French company shared a new trailer for it.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage pays tribute to the series, especially the first Assassin’s Creed game. It transports players to a vibrant Baghdad in the ninth century, during its Golden Age. In this game, you can enjoy an action-packed adventure filled with storytelling, parkour, stealth, and assassination missions. It’s a modern twist on the classic gameplay that has made the series famous for over fifteen years.
In short, Mirage is closer to the old classic Assassin’s Creed games than Odyssey and Origins. So, if you didn’t like these two AC games, you should at least give Mirage a go. For what it’s worth, I personally enjoyed it. So, let’s hope that AC: Red will take some notes from it.
The PC version was also in a pretty solid technical state when it came out. While the game doesn’t have cutting-edge graphics like AC: Unity, it runs smoothly on various PC systems. Not only that but Mirage does not suffer from any shader compilation stutters. However, I did notice some traversal stutters here and there. They are not as frequent or annoying as those in Dead Space Remake.
Moreover, Ubisoft has added support for all PC upscalers. As such, you can use Intel XeSS, NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR. And although there isn’t any native support for DLSS 3 Frame Generation, there is a mod that enables it. So, make sure to download it if you have an RTX40 series GPU. After all, it’s a free mod.
The PC free trial is available on both Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. You can gain access to it by following this link.
Have fun!
