Ubisoft has announced that a new patch for Assassin’s Creed Origins will release tomorrow. According to the release notes, the Assassin’s Creed Origins patch 1.1.0 will add HDR support on the PC, will improve Performance Tools functionality and will fix the stuttering issues on NVIDIA graphic cards when playing in borderless mode.
Moreover, and after the controversy surrounding the game’s downgraded visuals, this latest update will improve texture streaming selection to allow for more high-resolution texture, will fix loading grid setups for tall palm tree fields to improve their view distance and will fix far shadow popping transition issue when updated during the time of day cycle. Furthermore, the Assassin’s Creed Origins update 1.1.0 will improve the distance at which the game displays the higher quality fake geometry of Alexandria, the view distance of the Siwa temple and the level of details of the Hemon Mastaba location.
As such, Assassin’s Creed Origins will look better than what it looks now. However, it will be interesting to see whether these additional improvements will have any performance impact (or whether they will affect the VRAM usage).
This patch will also add a new “Nightmare” difficulty mode, a new “Horde Mode” to the Arena and an NPC scaling option.
