UNIVRS has announced that Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, the first-person action-adventure VR platformer based on the highly-acclaimed manga, will hit Meta Quest Pro via the Meta Quest Store Early Access on July 23rd. According to the press release, Early Access will consist of the first two chapters, each offering 2-3 harrowing hours of action.
Players will join the Scout Regiment and help defend the human race from the onslaught of Titans that have broken through Wall Maria. Like in the manga and the anime, they will quickly zip across the districts within the inner walls using Omni-Directional Mobility(ODM) Gear to scout for incoming threats. They will also be able to team up with fellow regiment members and protect the unsuspecting civilians from the Titans’ rampage.
Naturally, you’ll be taking down Titans with a set of dual blades. The game will offer timed objectives including outpost defense, securing supply drops to aid fellow soldiers in combat, and slash towering Titans as they increase in difficulty. You will earn more stars for extra points to unlock better equipment like upgraded blades and firearms, as well as new skills and abilities.
What’s also interesting here is that the voice actors from the English and Japanese version of the anime will reprise their roles in Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable. As such, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, and all the other recruits will have their original voices.
Keigo Fujikawa, CEO of UNIVRS, said:
“We have heard fans’ voices from the Attack on Titan community and are eager to give them what they want. You have been patiently waiting since we first announced Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable in 2022, and are thrilled to share all of our hard work with audiences.”
