Epic Games and Thomas Happ Games are currently offering for free Axiom Verge on Epic’s digital store. Axiom Verge is an action-platform-exploration game that’s not only created in intricate detail in the style of classics such as Metroid, Contra, and Master Blaster, but uses old-school “glitches” as a gameplay feature.
PC gamers can visit the game’s Epic store page and acquire their free copy. Do note that this free offer will last until February 21st so make sure to get it while you still can (well… that is provided you are interested in it).
Axiom Verge allows players to battle with nearly 70 unique creatures and gigantic screen-filling bosses, comes with a Speedrun Mode, features more than 900 unique, interlocking rooms, gobs of unique tools and abilities, loads of weapons, as well as tons of health/power/attribute upgrades.
Have fun!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
