Larian Studios has announced that the Early Access phase for Baldur’s Gate 3 will begin on September 30th. According to the developers, the game will have over 45k dialogues and over 590 characters in Early Access.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be using the new Divinity 4.0 engine. Players will venture through the Forgotten Realms of Dungeons & Dragons in Larian’s biggest adventure yet. Players will also choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Additionally, players will adventure, loot, battle and romance as they journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond.
From what we know so far, Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t be open-world. Instead, the game will have huge regions that you will travel between acts. Furthermore, the game promises to touch upon the story of Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2 in meaningful ways.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
