After multiple hints, Larian Studios has officially announced the third part in the Baldur’s Gate series, Baldur’s Gate 3. In order to celebrate it, the team has released a teaser trailer that you can find below.
The teaser trailer shows a return of a malevolent presence to Baldur’s Gate, intent on devouring it from the inside out, corrupting everything that remains in the Forgotten Realms.
Here is a small description for Baldur’s Gate 3 from its Steam store page.
“An ancient evil has returned to Baldur’s Gate, intent on devouring it from the inside out. The fate of Faerun lies in your hands. Alone, you may resist. But together, you can overcome.”
Larian Studios has also announced that the game will be coming on Steam and GOG, but not on the Epic Games Store. The team did not clarify the reasons behind this decision.

It appears that Baldur’s Gate 3 may after all come out on the Epic Games Store. Larian Studios’ representative clarified that Swen Vincke was only talking about the store pages that will go live when the game gets initially announced.
