Kotaku has spotted an amazing mod for Neverwinter Nights 2. Created by modder Drew Rechner, Baldurs Gate: Reloaded recreates the world of Bioware’s classic WRPG in 3D thanks to Neverwinter Nights 2’s engine. This mod has been in development for seven years and has finally been released yesterday.
As described, Baldur’s Gate: Reloaded is a fan-made tribute to and complete remake of Baldur’s Gate (1998), orginally developed by BioWare and published by Interplay Enterainment, for Neverwinter Nights 2. This campaign features both the entire original campaign and its expansion, Tales of the Sword Coast.
Those interested can download the mod from here.
Naturally, the big question is how may of you own Neverwinter Nights 2, and how many are willing to purchase it in order to enjoy the universe of Baldur’s Gate in 3D.
Drew Rechner has also released a launch trailer for his mod that can be viewed below.
Have fun everyone!
