Electronic Arts has announced that Battlefield 2042 is free to play until October 16th. Interestingly enough, this free-to-play period is the exact same as the Open Beta phase of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Battlefield 2042 originally came out in November 2021. Due to its ridiculous bugs and glitches, the game launched with Mostly Negative Reviews on Steam. Since then, DICE released a lot of updates and the game now has Mixed Reviews on Steam.
This free-to-play period will give you access to all of the game’s content. This also includes the Season 6: Dark Creations. Dark Creations introduced the new map Redacted which is set in claustrophobic close quarters. Players will also be able to wield new weapons and gadgets, and unlock 100 tiers of Battle Pass content.
You can go ahead and download Battlefield 2042 from Steam.
Lastly, EA is offering discounts of up to 84% for its Battlefield games. So, if you wanted to purchase an older BF game, you can do so at a discount.
Have fun!
