Tom Henderson, a well-known Battlefield and Call of Duty leaker, has revealed the secret game mode that will be in Battlefield 2042. According to Henderson, this mode is called Battlehub and will be the ultimate sandbox experience, with remastered maps from previous Battlefield games.
Now in case you did not know, Henderson had previously leaked the first details for Battlefield 2042. Battlehub will run on the Battlefield 2042 Engine. As such, previous Battlefield content will benefit from all the improvements that DICE will bring to 2042. Additionally, Battlehub will not feature any traditional class system. Instead, this game mode will be using Specialists (like most other modes of BF 2042).
Henderson also hinted that some remastered maps might not support 128 players.
Lastly, Battlehub and Hazard zone will be separate downloads to save on drive space. Our assumption is that players will be able to select between them (in order to save some space). Moreover, Battlehub will update with the Battlepass seasons.
EA and DICE plan to officially reveal Battlehub at EA Play on July 22nd, so stay tuned for more!
