A few days ago, the team behind the Fallout: New California mod for Fallout: New Vegas got a bit worried about its mod when Bethesda officially revealed its latest update for Fallout: The Board Game. However, it appears that the mod is safe as Bethesda gave the green light to the team, and wished them good luck.
As Bethesda’s representative stated:
“The great thing about modding is that people can build mods about whatever they want. We don’t foresee an issue with this team’s work, and we wish them well in their development.”
Fallout: New California is a prequel to Fallout New Vegas and promises to feature hours of new gameplay, as well as a fully voiced stand alone campaign. This total conversion mod will add an all new story around a new player character, an adopted resident of Vault 18, embarking on a journey through the wastelands of the New California Republic’s Cajon Pass.
With Bethesda’s blessing, it’s almost certain that this mod will not get shut down, so kudos to the publisher for supporting the modding teams!
