In a new blog update, Bioware’s Casey Hudson confirmed that the team is working on several unannounced big projects. While Hudson was unable to give any additional details, he did hint at Dragon Age 4 progressing well. The game is currently in pre-production stage with the Bioware Edmonton team working on it.
As Hudson stated:
“One of our projects has a large and growing team in Edmonton working through pre-production, and based on the progress I’m seeing, I can confirm that indeed the Dread Wolf rises.”
In other news, Bioware is still committed on improving Anthem. Bioware has plans for more fundamental improvements that will bring out the full potential of Anthem. However, these improvements will take time. Still, the team will continue delivering updates to feature and content while working on the longer-term vision of the game.
Last but not least, Bioware is currently hiring for its upcoming big projects. According to one of the job listings, candidates will need to have exceptional hands on experience with game mechanics in 1st or 3rd person shooters space. Moreover, most of these projects will continue using the Frostbite Engine. As another job listing states.
“Work closely with Frostbite central teams to improve and leverage Frostbite’s rendering systems.”

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
