Crowbar Collective has just released Black Mesa Definitive Edition. In addition, the team announced that this Definitive Edition of the Black Mesa Remake in Source Engine will be free to all existing Black Mesa owners as a final big update.
Black Mesa Definitive Edition comes with massive polish and art updates throughout the game. Moreover, it packs a complete lighting and gameplay pass to the chapter “Power Up”, and a complete redesign of the second “On A Rail” map. Additionally, it comes with significant optimizations across the whole game that will improve performance on low to mid-range PCs.
Not only that, but this latest version brings various improvements to “We’ve Got Hostiles”, “On A Rail”, “Questionable Ethics”, “Surface Tension”, and “Forget About Freeman”. It also brings full Workshop support.
As always, Steam will download this latest update the next time you launch its client. You can also find its complete changelog here.
Have fun!
