Gearbox has announced that Borderlands 2 is free to play this weekend on Steam. In order to celebrate this free to play offer, the team is also offering the game with a 75% discount until May 29th.
In Borderlands 2, you will play as one of four new vault hunters facing off against a massive new world of creatures, psychos and the evil mastermind, Handsome Jack. Players can dual-wield any two weapons they find and they can build on that skill to do more things with two guns than they ever imagined possible.
Borderlands 2 features a seamless system enabling you to drop in and drop out of a campaign without ever having to restart the game, brand new environments on Pandora, brand new enemies, as well as procedurally generated shields, grenades, Relics, class mods and more.
You can download and start playing the game from its Steam store page. We also suggest using the latest version of the Borderlands 2Â Unofficial Community Patch.
Have fun!
