Bruce Campbell, the man portraying Ash Williams in the Evil Dead movies and series, has confirmed a new Evil Dead game. According to Campbell, this Evil Dead game is developed for consoles and PC, and will not be a VR title.
Hey, groovy gamers, this is a swell time to clarify some incorrect info that might be out there (including from me!): the upcoming Evil Dead video game is being developed for consoles and PC, not VR. Sorry for any confusion. Game on! #MyBoomstickIsTooBigForVR #EvilDeadTheGame pic.twitter.com/Jqh2BGW82p

Unfortunately, we don’t have any additional details about this Evil Dead game. We don’t know when it will come out, whether it will target a 2019 or a 2020 release, or whether it will come out on current-gen or next-gen platforms.
Our guess is that we are looking at a 2020 release for current-gen systems. On the other hand, the game has not been officially announced yet so this may turn out to be a double-A or a small budget title.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted so stay tuned for more!
