Believe it or not, I was a big fan of Cat Quest 2. Cat Quest 2 was a polished 2.5D action RPG that did not suffer from any grinding, micro-transactions or loot-box issues. And, thankfully, a new part in the series is currently in development.
Cat Quest III is a 2.5D open-world action RPG set in a fantastical pirate-themed world – the Purribean. Players will be able to set sail through the Purribean in their very own ship, alongside their trusty spirit companion.
The game promises to have varied dungeons and biomes to explore. Moreover, it will pack a newly refined combat system featuring tighter attack combos and weapon swapping.
For the first time in the series, players will sail the seas and battle in their very own ship. As such, you’ll be able to explore the waters on your ship, seamlessly zip to shore, and traverse the land on paw to hunt your enemies.
Additionally, the devs claim that players will be able to embark on their very own treasure hunt and craft their own story. You’ll be able to choose to explore the deepest corners of the Purribean at your leisure or aid some characters in their quests along the way.
Finally, there is no specific ETA on when Cat Quest III will come out. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, no. The devs haven’t shared yet the game’s PC requirements. Naturally, though, I’ll be sure to share the PC specs and the release date as soon as Kepler Interactive announces them.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
